What is the pennsylvANIA Lemon Law

The Pennsylvania Lemon Law specifically protects consumers of defective motor vehicles that have warrantable defects that “substantially” impair your use, value, or safety; and have been subjected to an “unreasonable” number of repair attempts, and that the problem was reported within a specified time period after the original in service date.

What Vehicles Qualify?

1. Vehicles sold or registered in Pennsylvania that have issues in the first year or 12,000 miles from delivery to the consumer.

2. A manufacturer must repair the defect within a “reasonable” number of repair attempts.

the number of attempts was unreasonable if it was subjected to three or more repairs for the same problem and continues to exist or that it was out of service for at least 30 days.
